Red Bull, The BWRDC and TFL!

Red Bull, The BWRDC and TFL!
Speaking
Last week saw many new adventures for me, including taking the train down to London to talk at the Red Bull Athletes Summit. I don't know what will surprise people the most, me talking to Red Bull athletes or the fact that I got on a train! Milton Keynes to Euston was fairly painless but I was nervous as hell for my talk! I'm a fairly accomplished speaker these days but I've never spoken in front of such an impressive group of people as the UK Red Bull Athletes before. I was there speaking on behalf of the Wings For Life charity. If you don't know what they do or who they are, please check them out here - they are such a worthy cause. Funded by Red Bull, 100% of…

Exciting start to my 2017 Public Speaking calendar.

Exciting start to my 2017 Public Speaking calendar.
Speaking
After kicking off 2017 with a great live interview at the Autosport show, I have many other exciting speaking engagements booked in already for the first part of the year. The first engagement sees me traveling down to London this week to speak on behalf of Wing For Life at the Red Bull Athletes Summit at Red Bull HQ. A few days later I then head up to Warwickshire to speak at the BWRDC Awards Dinner. In March, once again I'll be teaming up with Wings For Life and delivering a speech to some Barclays Wealth customers at the Red Bull Racing factory in Milton Keynes. Then, later that month, I head to Sweden to speak at a global medical conference in front of international industry leaders. It's going to be a busy…

Filming for GQ at Silverstone

Filming for GQ at Silverstone
Racing
This week was fairly exciting as I braved the freezing temperatures to do some filming for GQ at Silverstone with Porsche. GQ wanted to do a series of 'how to' videos, one of which they wanted to feature women instructing the predominantly male GQ readership how to perform advanced driving skills and techniques on a race circuit. Porsche would be the featured brand in these videos and I was approached by Porsche HQ to represent them in my Cayman S race car alongside Esmee Hawkey in her Cayman GT4 Clubsport. The day started early at the Porsche Experience Centre as the fog lingered across the circuit and frost remained hard on the ground. It was cold! After being fed bacon rolls at the PEC, which were obviously delicious, we headed across…

Speaking at Autosport on behalf of Dare To Be Different

Speaking at Autosport on behalf of Dare To Be Different
Speaking
I've just got back from the Autosport show where I had a fantastic couple of days representing an organisation that I'm extremely proud to be an Ambassador for. Being asked to speak on the Tech Talk stage on behalf of Dare To Be Different was a real honour. The interview went really well and I was lucky to have my PR Agent Danni Gunn in the audience from Red Marlin to support me. My partner Andrew filmed the interview on my iPhone and I've posted it on YouTube. It is 25 minutes long but if you want to learn more about D2BD and my plans for 2017 you can watch it here: Autosport Interview.

Omologato sponsor Nathalie McGloin Racing for third season.

Omologato sponsor Nathalie McGloin Racing for third season.
Sponsorship
After a great weekend at the Autosport show we are pleased to announce that Omologato are joining Nathalie McGloin Racing for a third season as a team sponsor. Omologato and Nathalie McGloin Racing have been with each other from the start of both of their ventures into Motorsport. Omologato approached Nathalie a month into her first season of racing when the watch company was just two months old to support her with sponsorship. The relationship was very organic, Nathalie having bought one of Omologato's first watches due to loving the ethos behind the brand, and Omologato saw what Nathalie was doing in Motorsport and instantly knew they had to be involved. A beautiful friendship has since blossomed between Shami and Nathalie and their working relationship is stronger than ever. Nathalie will…

While at university she began playing wheelchair rugby gaining a place on the GB national squad but it was the introduction to motorsport during a track day that ignited her fire. 2017 will see Nathalie committed to her duties as a ‘Dare to be Different’ ambassador and she will be contesting the Porsche Club Championship in the UK and selected sports car endurance events. Dynolight Rollers come on board as 2017 London Marathon Sponsor

Dynolight Rollers come on board as 2017 London Marathon Sponsor
Sponsorship
I'm very pleased to announce a new sponsor for the 2017 season, Dynolight Rollers. This year I'm competing in the London Marathon and a set of racing wheelchair rollers are essential to getting the training in when the weather isn't great. Dynolight Rollers are a lightweight, portable roller that you fill with sand or similar to create resistance.                               I can't wait to start using these! Because of their portable nature, you can easily take these to competitions to use as a warm up tool on the start line. Or, if space is short at home, they are super easy and quick to dismantle when not in use. Andy the founder and designer of the rollers is…
